Simple Tips On Getting Pregnant

You might find it silly, but most women actually just wake up one morning feeling ready to settle down and have a family. According to recent surveys, 9 in 10 women in America would like to start a family “the right way”, meaning making sure that all the other aspects of their lives is in place. Just like finishing college and landing on a good career, settling down for most women means maintaining the enthusiasm and dedication they had during other important life events.

Starting a family and getting pregnant is unique experience that makes a woman. That is why when one is ready, waiting is not an option. However, conceiving is not as easy it seems – a woman can be sexually active and have a regular sex partner, but it does not guarantee her any chance of becoming a mother. Some couples try alternative healing methods, while some hop from one doctor to another hoping that one will give them good news or perhaps some tips on getting pregnant.

If you are one of the many women who are having a hard time conceiving, fortunately there are a few things that can be done. There are some tips on getting pregnant that are fairly easy to do, sometimes without needing any medical check-ups or any spending. In fact, some research will tell you that one of the most effective things to do in order to get pregnant is to increase you and your partner’s sexual frequency to at least three times a week.

For obvious reasons, having regular sex is the best way to get pregnant. Although some experts mostly advise that you have sex during your ovulation period, it does not necessarily imply that having sex when you are not ovulating is useless. The fact is, most women have no idea when they are ovulating and when they are not. So in order to “cover all your bases” and let any opportunity go to waste, have sex three times a week.

If you have been using an ovulation prediction kit or a fertility monitor and know exactly when you are ovulating, always remember that having sex before ovulation is much more effective compared to having sex after your ovulation period. Some tips on getting pregnant are contradicting and confusing, which can sometimes lead to a mix of information.

Remember that during ovulation, a woman’s egg cell has only about 24 hours to live and survive inside the uterus. The sperm cell on the other hand has about 72 hours or three full days to survive and wander the uterus. That means the sperm cell has more chances of surviving within your body than your own egg cell. Having sex two to three days before your ovulation period will therefore increase the likelihood of pregnancy, and waiting for your fertile day or your ovulation period will simply let an important opportunity pass.
